Another week, another can’t-miss sale! This time, it’s Amazon’s Summer Beauty Sale, which starts Monday and runs through Mother’s Day, May 11. That makes it a good time to score makeup, skin care and hair care not just for yourself, but for mom. The two-week sale promises the best Amazon beauty deals we’ve seen in a while, including up to 50% off go-to brands like Kiehl’s, Clinique, Estée Lauder and Olaplex, along with newcomers like Kiko Milano, an affordable Italian cosmetics line that’s been among my favorites for years.
Unlike big sales events like Black Friday, which garner exciting markdowns on tech and home goods but “meh” savings elsewhere, this sale is focused solely on beauty. Shoppers should expect serious deals on all manner of hair- and skin-care products, fragrances, sunscreen, gift sets, makeup and even men’s grooming faves. Here are some of the best items to look for — a few of which are already on sale.
After testing dozens of mascaras earlier this year, I named Maybelline’s Lash Sensational the best mascara of 2025. The no-smudge, zero-flake formula lengthens and thickens lashes without being a hassle to apply (I did not have to remove globs from the applicator brush once in the last month — a first).
In addition to having this beauty editor’s vote, more than 80,000 five-star reviewers rave about it on Amazon, all stating something along the lines of, “10/10 would recommend, I’ve ordered this six times now … it’s the best mascara I’ve ever used.” Truly, it’s that good.
This bestseller has been around for decades but still frequently sells out. It’s a legend for a reason: The creamy, universally flattering formula is made from a blend of blue, red and yellow pigments, so it works for any skin tone. It’s also particularly good for drier, more mature lips since it glides on like a balm and has none of the waxy feel of some lipsticks, and it won’t settle into fine lines.
The shade looks dark in the tube but, once on, it works like a custom tint, lightly staining lips a natural-looking berry hue that’s just a hint or two above bare.

These dual-textured facial toner pads are among the best products we’ve found for clearing out clogged pores, evening skin tone and giving your face that healthy, clean glow. Now they’re available in this mild version, which is no less potent, but gentle enough for sensitive skin.
Yahoo Shopping Deputy Editor Izabella Zaydenberg is a fan. “This is my fourth repurchase of these toner pads, which I think is the most I’ve ever repurchased any skin-care product,” she says. “Unfortunately, I don’t think I can live without them: I ran out a few days ago and my blackheads (which these pads nearly entirely eradicated) decided to come back with a vengeance. It’s no wonder they’re an Amazon best-seller: Each pad gently exfoliates your skin with AHA lactic acid and BHA salicylic acid, leaving your skin truly glass-like.”
I’m a long-time fan of the Jessica Alba-approved beauty brand Grace & Stella, which puts out reliably good, vegan, cruelty-free skin care at an affordable price. But I was next-level impressed by these potent eye masks, which are packed with retinol, hyaluronic acid and sea moss to nourish the delicate under-eye skin and brighten the area overall.
After 10 minutes, these pretty little patches worked wonders on my eye bags, de-puffing them to a degree that I looked like I got some of the better sleep of my life.
My beloved snail mucin from CosRx is excellent for evening skin tone and making your face look softer and brighter overall. It’s won multiple awards, has over 65,000 five-star Amazon reviews and impresses most beauty editors I know.
After using it the first time, my face was noticeably dewier, and other users have boasted about its ability to hydrate, repair and improve dullness in the skin — all of which helps wrinkles look less deep and crepey. When I tried it again after a medi-spa laser treatment, I found that it soothed and calmed my skin as it healed, imparting a lovely, healthy sheen.
I kind of don’t even know how to write about the joy I feel that Kiko Milano, a popular Italian drugstore beauty brand, is now easily available stateside. But I’ll start by telling you that its matte (but not too dry) lip stain is among my favorites, especially in this universally flattering tawny mauve. While these products are already affordable, the entire line is likely to go on sale next week, when you can pick up these stellar cosmetics for a song.
After writing about Botox alternatives, I’ve become a bit obsessed with cramming as many peptides as I can into my skin-care routine. Lucky for me, the reliably good K-beauty brand CosRx makes it easy with this two-part glow-boosting set, which comes with its famous 6 Peptide serum and — bonus — a potent 25% vitamin C elixir. The two work in tandem to improve skin clarity and elasticity, helping to brighten and tighten as they go.
I’m hoping to see loads of highly regarded skin-care staples from Kiehl’s in the upcoming Amazon sale, including this long-standing cult-fave eye cream, which utilizes a unique oil-in-water formula to bring extra hydration to dry, crepey lips and crinkly under-eyes.
I’m testing products to update our roundup of the best facial sunscreens and — spoiler alert — this incredible hydrating serum/skin glowifier/potent SPF 30 is about to top the list. The best way to describe this non-greasy, fast-absorbing gel is that it’s a truly beautiful product. It’s lightweight, almost like a mousse, and has a pearly shimmer that, once applied, lends a subtle luster to skin unlike anything I’ve tried. When I use this sunscreen, my face looks healthier and plain ol’ younger, the kind of sheen you get when you’re 17 and just ran a bunch of laps in P.E.
The only con to Tula’s sunscreen is the price, but Amazon’s Summer Beauty Event might be just the time to pick up a tube or two.
Starting next week, expect big savings on covetable brands like Kiko Milano, Kiehl’s and CosRx at Amazon’s Summer Beauty Event. (Amazon)
